That said, it's a good thing we purchased these non-refundable tickets all at once, because after our 90 minute Spring Break flight to Santa Cruz I wanted to cancel all future flights. I've seen worse, but when you're the one stuck wrestling a fussy baby (or two) in a very tight space, it's your own personal disaster.
On the bright side, the dreary Santa Cruz forecast was almost all wrong. The four days of cold and rain became three sunny, warm(ish) charmers and one windy, stormy day of showers (which was also lovely).
The girls managed to maintain all their typical shenanigans throughout our trip.
They found Grandma R's cabinets of miscellaneous kitchen items...
They mostly enjoyed a beach outing complete with high winds, light rain, and tasty pebbles...
Like I said they "mostly" enjoyed it.
Then, of course, we had a little quality family time with Uncle Tom, Aunt Renee, and Jema. Unfortunately, we failed to take pictures with Grandma R on this trip. That's okay, we'll see her again soon!!
And a twin evening romp in the ever-so-popular car seat...
It's all fun and games until... well, until it's not.
When it was all said and done, we drove the new Dolly Wagon (kindly donated to the Dolly cause by Grandma R) back to Boise.
Thanks Grandma R!! We love it!
